tc189 Abwärts - V8.

Das 1995er Album der Hamburger Punklegende in der Besetzung Frank Z., Elf (Slime), Marcel Zürcher (Die Krupps) und Jochen Hansen (Rio Reiser Band). Nach diversen Majorlabel-Alben waren Abwärts mit „V8“ befreit zurück beim Indie Slime Tonträger und feuerten ein viel zu wenig beachtetes, sarkastisches, obszönes, bitterböses und zynisches Album ab.
Selten waren Abwärts so schonungslos hingerotzt, zugleich melodisch und schnell wie auf dieser Scheibe. Zwischen Zynismus, tiefschwarzem Humor und Bukowski-Referenzen ätzt man gegen die Boshaftigkeiten der Welt: Phil Collins, Schnauzbart-Dance, Pauschalurlauber, Haschsucht, happy Kids und gute Laune im Allgemeinen.
„V8“ erzählt herrlich angeekelte Loser-Geschichten, die eingängig und punkig daherkommen. Frank Z. ist einer der besten, sperrigsten und eigenwilligsten Texter und bis heute unterbewertet.
Inmitten der schrottigen 1990er Deutschpunkwelle lief „V8“ viel zu sehr unter dem Radar und war seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten ausverkauft. Jetzt endlich nachgepresst, mit restauriertem Artwork, 350g Cover, Textinlay und Downloadcode.
