Koyaanisqatsi - Weiter:
Knapp ein Jahr nach der selbst produzierten LP-Version nun auch die CD-Version der zweiten Koyaanisqatsi-Scheibe. Die CD-Version kommt im sehr schönen Digipack und mit ausführlichem 20seitigem Booklet, optisch wundervoll und musikalisch genau das, wofür man Koyaanisqatsi einfach mögen muss: Punkrock mit intelligenten und wütenden deutschen Texten fernab aller Klischees, Plattitüden und abgedroschenen Parolen. Die Platte ist frisch, powervoll und hat jede Menge Energie. Einige mögen da an Turbostaat denken, andere an die alten Muff Potter-Scheiben und wieder andere an EA 80, aber all das sind nur Hausnummern um Koyaanisqatsi zu beschreiben. Die Band hat über die Jahre ihren ganz eigenen Stil entwickelt, von Emo über Hardcore bis hin zu klassischem Punkrock geht alles und muss nichts. Das gleiche gilt textlich, immer wütend und radikal, ohne jedoch in Plattheiten abzurutschen oder Gefühle und zwischenmenschliches zu vergessen. Abwechslungsreich und steht‘s mit dem Herzen am richtigen Fleck knallen Koyaanisqatsi 13 nagelneue Songs raus, 12 davon mit deutschen Texten, einer dem Anlass entsprechend in italienisch. Eine der Scheiben, auf die man lange - viel zu lange - warten musste und nun, da sie endlich da ist, ist allen klar: es hat sich gelohnt. Deutschsprachiger Punkrock mit Emotion wie ihn aktuell keine andere Band besser spielen könnte. "Weiter".
